INDIANA INTRAHASH VIII

IntraHash Logo
Who's Cumming?

Satellite View WHEN: Friday Sept 7 thru Sunday Sept 9. First keg tapped on Friday evening around 5ish. Arrive Friday evening for tent set-up and festivities. There will be a chili dinner that night provided by IndyScent for those who need sustenance. Time and location of hashes/bash to be announced, although Phagg the Impaler and ADHD are taking the lead on the main trail on Saturday. Activities last until we scram off the premises some time Sunday afternoon.

WHAT:For the umpteenth (final?) year in a row, Indiana INtrahash will be at Chez Kotex, private hasher property in the wooded hills near Lafayette and West Lafayette, IN. This is about 60 miles NW of Indianapolis and about 120 miles SE of Chicago. Usual attendance is about 30 to 35.

This is a joint production of the Hoosier, Bloomingfools and IndyScent hashes, hopefully with participation from F-Troop (Fort Wayne) this year! Hashing in Tippecanoe County doesn't get much better than this -- hell, a hashing weekend *anywhere* doesn't get much better.

Scheduled are potential hashes on Friday night; two runs on Saturday (our water-crossing was neck-deep across the Tippecanoe River last year) and one on Sunday, plus perhaps a one hour bash, suitable for road bikes, on Saturday. At least one run will have serious shiggy and at least one run will require flashlights. Given all the events in barely 24 hours, they aren't terribly long except for the main Saturday hash. (Damn, hashers will believe anything!)

Accommodations include a good area to camp, unlimited beer, continuous bonfire, beer, hot tub, naked people drinking beer, hot showers and flush toilets. Food is home cooked, tasty, generous portions, and very vegetarian friendly. Hoosier Hash is an all home-brew hash with a recent windfall of kegs. Light domestic beer also will be available for down-downs and such. Sometimes hard liquor or other libations are on hand, but if you have a favorite or a preference, feel free to bring along and share. This is the most fun you can have until the rapture.

WHERE: detailed di-erections
Please carpool if possible since parking space is limited.
As always, this year's Indiana Intra-Hash will be held at Chez Kotex outside of West Lafayette, IN (about an hour north of Indianapolis in and around that area so affectionately referred to as Purdue-country). You can either MapQuest the address: 7220 Robert Ross Lane, West Lafayette, IN, or follow the link above for more detailed directions (especially if wishing to avoid weekend football traffic around Purdue).

HOW MUCH:Your share of the expenses for ALL drink, food, camp space, hashes, favor (23 oz. plastic logo'd Nalgene-style drinking vessel) and MORE!!!! depends on your length of stay:
Entire weekend: $40
Friday or Sunday ONLY: $15
Saturday ONLY: $20

Bring cash or check payable to Matt Ledington (a/k/a Kotex) to the hash.

WHAT TO BRING:Camping gear is a must! Highly recommended is a flashlight and/or lantern and plenty of batteries. Also bring a towel for before/after the hot tub. Everyone must shower before entering the hot tub so we don't find ourselves involved in a science project. There will be an outside shower with hot/cold water available. Lawn chairs would be a plus for around the fire. Bug spray and sunscreen recommended.

There'll be plenty of room for camping, lotsa food for eating, and gallons upon gallons of beer BEER BEER for drinking! IndyScent handles the chili dinner on Friday; Hoosier hash provides breakfast and lunch Saturday, with Bloomingfools traditionally doing a pasta dinner on Saturday night. Sunday breakfast/brunch is the leftovers.
